The 4th July marks the anniversary of American Independence; the day the country adopted the Declaration of Independence in 1776. To commemorate the day, celebrations take place throughout the US, but you don鈥檛 need to be in America to celebrate! People all around the globe go into full patriotic mode, with parties and gatherings happening all over the place.
To get you in the mood for tomorrow, here are five places outside of the US that you can celebrate Independence Day!
Sydney, Australia
Renowned for hosting the largest 鈥楩ourth of July鈥 celebration in the southern hemisphere, if you can make it to Sydney, do it! Every year in true US patriotism, a whole host of bars and restaurants throw American-inspired parties for all to enjoy. From lighting up the BBQ for some good ol鈥 fashioned burgers to a range of IPA beers. Australia is shouting 鈥God Bless America鈥 at the top of its lungs.

Rebild, Denmark
Every year, thousands of people head to Denmark鈥檚 Rebild National Park to join their renowned Fourth of July celebrations! Rebild has a special connection with the USA, dating back to 1912 when 300,000 Danish immigrants were welcomed to the country. The tradition in Rebild acts as a token of gratitude to fellow Americans, strengthening the friendship between the two countries.
Good music, great food and entertainment accompanied by the flags of the two nations flying side by side.

London, England
London was home to one of the USA鈥檚 Founding Fathers, Benjamin Franklin, for 16 years. Now home to a huge expatriate community, it鈥檚 no surprise that Independence Day is widely celebrated in the city. Us Brits love an excuse for a party, so it’s no wonder that Independence Day sends a bucket load of patriotism running through the streets of London.
London also has something unique to offer when it comes to 4th July; you can actually Franklin used to live in! What makes it even more special is the fact it’s the world’s only remaining Franklin home. So, if you fancy some cake, a glass of bubbly and a little nose around Benjamin Franklin House, London’s the place for you.

Shanghai, China
If you鈥檙e looking for a party, then Shanghai is perfect for you. There’s something going on round every corner, so finding somewhere to celebrate the 4th July should be a pretty easy task! Events are being held all over the city offering craft beers, American-themed menus and a whole load of drinks offers. Check out for a look at just some of the parties taking place this year.

Buenos Aires, Argentina
If you鈥檙e looking for a longer celebration, Argentina might just be the place for you. Argentina鈥檚 Independence Day falls on 9th July, giving you the potential for a whole week of celebrating! Indulge in a range of local food and drinks and soak up the Argentinian culture and, if you’re around on the 9th, prepare for an epic fireworks display!
