Can someone please tell me how we’re already on number 17 of our picture of the week blog series? It feels like just yesterday we started, but since then over 18 million images have passed through the 17³Ô¹ÏÔÚÏß gates and there’s steam coming off of our QC teams computers. But that isn’t going to stop us so we’re back again with 5 of our favourite images uploaded in the last week…
Why we think this is great: If you’ve not been talking about or heard people talking about the FIFA World Cup this week, where have you been? I myself am not hugely into football but give me a sausage dog playing football and I could watch it on repeat all day. This little fella predicted a 2:1 German victory against Mexico…maybe he should stick to chasing his tail!
Why we think this is great: As you may have already sussed, we love authentic imagery and the composition of this shot is fantastic. If you’re wanting to create a ‘real life’ feel to your images, don’t be afraid to crop out body parts or include objects in the foreground, these are both great ways to add a level of authenticity to your shots.
Why we think this is great: Combine bright pinks, geometric shapes, interesting architecture and an aerial perspective and you’ve got yourself a stunning photograph. That’s exactly what this photographer has done and it was a real struggle to choose just one of her uploads from this past week to highlight. Why we think this is great: The composition of this little grouse emerging from the ground along with the complementary colour harmony of greens and pinks in the heather creates an intriguing, aesthetically pleasing image.
Why we think this is great: Oh no, not another authentic lifestyle image? Yes, yes it is. Why? Because we love them and they’re not going to be decreasing in popularity anytime soon, in fact authenticity is a trend continuing to grow in popularity within the stock world. We love the warm and friendly vibe to this image and it makes us want to dash out of the office and grab a cold one with our mates.
