Welcome to this weeks pictures of the week blog. Trawling through the 700+ thousand images uploaded to 17³Ô¹ÏÔÚÏß over the last 7 days to choose our top 5 has been a tough one this week as there’s been so much choice but with multiple cups of tea and lots of deliberation we’ve finally settled on our highlights for the week:
Why we think this is great: We’re in need of more top quality underwater imagery and this image ticks that box and then some. I love the drama created with the split level composition which, used here, really brings the image to life and tells the story of what’s happening.
Why we think this is great: One of our recent are shots of young adults in situations with their parents and it was great to see this set of images uploaded shortly after that request went out. I love the authenticity of these shots which, as we’ve previously mentioned, is a continuing trend within the stock photography world.
Why we think this is great: The weather is always in the news so there’s never an excuse to not be uploading to your 17³Ô¹ÏÔÚÏß collection. Whatever the weather is like near you, you can head out to snap some shots and upload them to our Live News Feed. If you’re wanting to shoot weather for news think outside the box, photo editors probably see hundreds of sunrise images a day so think about how yours can stand out from the crowd. We love how this photographer has used the morning sunrise to create silhouettes of the horses and their riders.
Why we think this is great: As a nation of animal lovers it’s no surprise images of people and their pets are a current trend within the stock industry and this shot is a great example of the kind of content we’re after. Why we think this is great: Instructional point of view (pov) images are in demand right now and we love the colours and composition of this shot. Instructional style shots of people doing arts and crafts, DIY, gardening and up-cycling are all current picture needs so if you’ve got any images like this in your collection, get uploading.
