This week we’ve had some wonderful images submitted and we’re super excited to share them with you. From foxes to forests we’ve had over 500 thousand images uploaded making the job of choosing 5 to highlight extremely difficult but we’ve managed to whittle it down and without further ado here are our pictures of the week from the last 7 days…

Why we think this is great:Â This image is simply a joy to look at and that’s down to the analogous colour harmony the photographer has used to bring the subjects together. You can find out more about colour harmonies and why they work in.

Why we think this is great: The composition and bright colours of this image bring it to life and it’s giving us serious wanderlust which is a crucial element to any travel photograph. If you’re looking for somewhere to head next check out 5 cities we think are amazing for street photography.

Why we think this is great: Perspective is something we’re talking about a lot at the moment and that’s because changing the perspective of an image can give it that ‘wow’ factor that sets it apart from the crowd. Simply taking the same photo at a different angle can dramatically change its meaning. Fancy giving this style of imagery a go? Find some inspiration in this lightbox.

Why we think this is great: When it comes to portraits they say it’s all about the eyes and this image is a great example of that theory. The stunning backdrop compliments the unique eye colouring of the cat, drawing and holding attention to the photograph.

Why we think this is great: A great news image should be ‘of the moment’ and we love this shot capturing the real time reaction of Olympic skater Evgenia Medvedeva after completing her figure skating performance last week.
