Last weekend was a long one here in the UK as we celebrated Easter. Mountains of chocolate was consumed, and I rolled back into the office on Tuesday ready to begin wading through the thousands of images uploaded to 17³Ô¹ÏÔÚÏß in the last 2 weeks ready for a bumper edition of our pictures of the week blog series…

Why we think this is great: We love the composition of this shot as well as the earthy, natural tones the photographer has used to bring all the elements of the image together.

Why we think this is great:  As we mentioned a couple of weeks back, duotones are a current trend within the world of stock photography. We love the symmetry of this shot that also ticks both the flat lay and duo-tone trend boxes. If you want to harness this trend in your stock photography, check out our lightbox for further inspiration.

Why we think this is great: We’re regularly talking about aerial imagery as it’s a continuing trend in photography and we loved the colours of this shot. If you’re wanting to take some aerial photographs for your collection, get inspired by the work of some fellow 17³Ô¹ÏÔÚÏß contributors.

Why we think this is great: Images of people and their pets are currently trending and we love seeing these being uploaded to us. Why not try your hand at capturing this trend and get some shots of your much loved pets? If you need some more inspiration we’ve got you covered.

Why we think this is great: There’s often a lot of doom and gloom in the news but these shots that came through to our Live News Feed this week put a smile on our faces.  in New York opened it’s doors this week to a host of visitors for an exciting preview and the images uploaded that are filled with colour and eggs gave us a little giggle.
If you just can’t get enough, you can view more wonderful submissions from the past two weeks here. Feeling motivated to get uploading? If you submit any images you think would be perfect candidates for our next ‘Pictures of the Week’ post, tweet the image refs to  with the hashtag #17³Ô¹ÏÔÚÏßPOTW and we’ll consider them for the feature.
