Designing The Beautiful Game exhibition at the Design Museum

Football? At the Design Museum?! Sounds absurd, how could football and design intertwine?

It turns out football and design are linked in ways that we overlook every day. After all, the teams redesign their kits every year and millions is spent on promoting the club abroad. There’s even a bit of furore about what the World Cup ball will look like.

Designing The Beautiful Game showcases the diverse ways in which design has influenced football, and indeed, ways in which football has influenced design.

Due to football’s long history, its influence can be felt all around the world. As a result, the Design Museum worked with 17³Ô¹ÏÔÚÏß to source seldom seen archival content. With photographers all around the world, 17³Ô¹ÏÔÚÏß is well placed to see just how far football’s reach extends. You can catch a glimpse of some images that were used in the exhibition here.

From planning the world’s most innovative stadiums to shaping a club’s identity, this exhibition immerses you into the world of the most popular sport on this planet.

The exhibition is live until the end of August, so soon.
