We all know one of the most rewarding parts of photography is getting out there and taking the pictures. Whether it’s time dedicated to composing the perfect shot, or a hastily grabbed snap that somehow happens to turn out perfectly (often never to be repeated).
The same can also be said of the moment you download your images from your memory card. When you view them on your computer monitor and process the files in a plethora of different photo editing programs, until you’ve got them just right.
After you’ve completed all of this hard work and your images are ready to send, you want to use the easiest way of sending your images to 17³Ô¹ÏÔÚÏß. That’s why we’ve listened to your requests and taken steps to improve the upload experience. We’re now pleased to offer submissions by FTP.
For those of you that don’t know, FTP (File Transfer Protocol) allows the transfer of files from your computer to us here at 17³Ô¹ÏÔÚÏß. If you’ve not used FTP before, it’s very easy to set up. You’ll need to download an FTP Client (this will allow you to communicate with our servers) and add the account credentials that we’ll provide to you. Then, you can transfer any of your suitable images to us in bulk. The FTP client will also provide you with real-time information about the status of your upload to 17³Ô¹ÏÔÚÏß. It really couldn’t be any easier!
You can FTP all of your stock images, news images, sports images, entertainment images and vector images. Now there’s really no excuse not to go through your digital archive and get those images 17³Ô¹ÏÔÚÏß ready.
For more detailed information on how to get started with FTP and a recommended list of FTP Clients, login to ‘’ and select ‘FTP Upload’ from the ‘Upload’ tab. You’ll see this option as soon as your account has been activated.
Sending your images by FTP will then free up your time, allowing you to do what you really enjoy, which is getting out there and taking pictures.
Over the next few weeks all 17³Ô¹ÏÔÚÏß contributor accounts will be enabled so that submissions can be sent by FTP. Don’t worry if your account hasn’t already been activated, we’re working through the roll out as quickly as possible!
