Maschseefest, Hannover, Germany
This German music festival takes place every summer in Hannover and lasts around 3 weeks, so there’s plenty of time to enjoy the festivities!
St. Gallen music festival, Switzerland
Founded in 1977, St. Gallen is one of Switzerland’s largest and longest-running open air music festivals. Featuring some of the world’s most popular bands and artists, it’s no surprise the festival is sold out months before the event!
Spring festival of Holi, India
The popular Hindu ‘festival of colours’ is a two-day festival that’s celebrated every year between February and March. The celebration of love and colour floods the streets with bright colours as people chase and colour each other with powder and coloured water.
Coachella, California
Coachella music and arts festival is an annual event held in California, and is one of the largest and most profitable events in the US.
Nashestvie (Invasion) rock music festival, Russia
One of the largest open-air festivals of Russian rock, the name Nashestvie literally translates as ‘invasion’. It’s also named after the organiser of the annual event, Nashe Radio.
Bengali New Year, Bangladesh
To bring in the Bengali New Year the Bangladeshi people fill the streets dressed in traditional clothing, forming a sea of colour. These street fairs are a blend of culture, art and food, with live music and performances to entertain the crowds.
Festival de Cannes, France
The Festival of Cannes is a yearly celebration of the art of cinema and film, where new writing, genres and visual initiatives are showcased.
